FriFotos is going PINK for a CURE this week!
This week’s #FriFotos theme is PINK in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Not only do we encourage you to be creative and post your PINK photos via twitter with the hashtag #FriFotos on Friday, we also encourage you to help us with a VERY special #FriFotos fundraiser to further research for a CURE and breast cancer awareness. We hope you will help the #FriFotos hosting team meet their goal of raising $2500 today!
To kick off FriFotos For a Cure. I am pledging to donate 5 cents for EVERY dollar donated until we reach our goal of $2500. I told @EpsteinTravels the goal was too high, he said he likes a challenge. Nothing would make me happier than to give my full pledge. Nothing would make @EpsteinTravels happier than to win our bet! So please give what you can and encourage others to give as well.
Please make your FriFotos For a Cure donation here to the Susan G. Komen Foundation #FriFotos for a Cure page.
Here is why I support FriFotos For A Cure:
I know a single, young 22 year old woman full of life- a real whipper snapper and madly in love who found a lump in her breast 31 years ago. Her Doctor told her if the lump appeared malignant he would completely remove her breast instead of just doing a lumpectomy. This is how cancerous lumps were often treated back then. She was terrified, so young and vain to a fault. She told the Doctor she would refuse treatment unless he promised not to remove her breast. She was SCARED….scared for her life and her future. She wanted OPTIONS, she wanted A CHOICE! How could she go on, what would she look like, what if her boyfriend left her?
Her boyfriend stayed with her 24/7 assuring her no matter what he would be there for her. The scar didn’t bother him and his love never wavered. Luckily the lump was found benign. They married later that year. Today because of breast cancer research there are far more options and choices of treatment than 30 years ago. And hopefully LONG before another 30 years pass a cure will be found!
Please don’t put off making your donation, please take 2 minutes to give NOW. I hope all my blogger pals will write a post, twitter friends will RT and help us share the news. I can’t wait to see all the #FriFotos For a Cure PINK photos!

AWWWW you are making me blush…..PINK!
xo Jeffrey!
Thank you Stephanie for doing this and bringing so much joy to people everyday.. Jeffrey
I think you are right. Hopefully better treatments will come to light and a cure will be found sooner rather than later – so there will be no more stories!
Thanks for sharing your story with us. I think many women have an experience to share.

) and every little bit helps to come closer for a CURE!
It is simply wonderful, Stephanie. Because it could happen to anyone of us, and we shall not forget how little contributions all together can make big things.
Hugs,
Simon
