Loathe? You might wonder… yes, there are some things I loathe like late night arrivals. I don’t usually LOVE the feeling I get arriving at a hotel at night. Fortunately that was not the experience I had on my recent stay at Dreams Los Cabos Suites, Golf and Spa Resort.
I would have preferred to arrive before dark because we were renting a car and driving to Dreams Los Cabos. Don’t worry if you aren’t up for driving, transfers are available anytime day or night. We rented from National Car at the airport, which does have a desk at Dreams for daily rentals, because we planned to do quite a bit of private sightseeing. Actually, coming in at night wasn’t so bad. We took the toll road to the end, took a right and before we knew it, we were greeted with cool cloths and a glass of champagne while the valet parked our car! I LOVE that Unlimited-Luxury® valet parking!
As expected , the check in was quick and efficient and of course, we were escorted to our suite. Yes, suite! Dreams Los Cabos is an all suite resort. The smallest is not small at all- 650 sq ft.—very spacious and beautifully appointed. The larger suites range from 1080 to 1650 square feet include separate living rooms with dining areas, multiple flat screen tvs and SO much more. They're perfect for VIPS, families and weddings! Shortly after the “tour" of our suite amenities, the luggage arrived. I couldn’t wait to unpack and slide open the doors to hear the waves crashing on the shore. In fact, we slept like babies to the sound of the waves with the balcony door open all week, it was heaven on earth!
Another thing I loathe about late night arrivals is I am just WAAAY too tired to even pretend I want to go eat. What a relief this is not a problem at Dream Los Cabos Suites, Golf and Spa Resort! I LOVE the 24 hour Unlimited-Luxury® room service. We chose a not too heavy, “just right” late night dinner of tortilla soup-LOVE those roasted chiles and avocado chunks with queso (Mexican cheese) on the side, sandwiches and dessert. There's a nice selection of soft drinks, water and beer in the Unlimited-Luxury® mini bar too.
After dinner I was ready for a much needed relaxing soak in the tub with bath salts- included in the toiletries. I LOVE there’s a loofah to scrub a dub with too. The marble vanity was large- thankfully, for all my junk and stuff. I wonder if I'll ever learn to pack lightly?! I am a work in progress, I guess, so do as I say and not as I do. I LOVE finding a good hairdryer (whew!) and magnified mirror, which NO, I did not bring along
One thing I sure do LOVE at the Dreams Los Cabos is the large sized Gilchrist Soames shower gel, shampoo, body lotion- there’s enough for all week, including 15 SPF sunscreen. I LOVE the scent of the sunscreen, it smells like a creamy orange Dreamsicle to me. Though, I do recommend bringing a stronger SPF, especially for the first few days. The desert sun is bright and STRONG. With Cabo boasting 350 days of sunshine a year, you will surely need it!
I was ready to crawl into our already turned down comfy king size bed. Yes, Dreams Los Cabos has nightly turndown and maid service, in addition to the day time housekeeping. Our suite was immaculate as is the entire property. The staff, I must say, is very diligent in cleaning and maintenance. The bed is not only turned down, the bathroom is straightened, fresh towels, robes, slippers and bottles of water are arranged neatly for you along with a piece of chocolate and the next day's Sundial, the daily resort newsletter.
In the morning we could have gone to the El Patio for breakfast, instead most mornings we chose to have that wonderful Unlimited-Luxury® room service and watch the for whales (Dec-March) and jumping manta rays from the balcony:
There’s nothing to loathe about waking to a view like this!
And by the way…I LOVE their chocolate croissants too!
Wondering why I chose a late night arrival if I LOATHE it so much?
It was nonstop- a BIG LOVE for me, the price was right and I knew I wouldn't be disappointed by Dreams Los Cabos Suites, Golf and Spa Resort!
